Pocket Gallery Applications Now Open!

The KAC is excited to announce that we are now accepting applications for our paid exhibition program exclusively for KAC Members! Through this initiative, the KAC will present 12 exhibitions annually in its onsite gallery space called The Pocket Gallery. Each selected artist, collective, or group will receive a $600 artist fee for their participation.

Located in the KAC office on the ground floor of the Tett Centre for Creativity and Learning, The Pocket Gallery is a small, but mighty venue designed to showcase the creative voices of KAC’s newly established membership program. With approximately 190 square feet of wall space and 130 square feet of floor space, this flexible gallery is perfectly suited for intimate, experimental, and thought-provoking exhibitions of all mediums.

Interested artists can apply via an easy-to-complete online form. The KAC also offers feedback for unsuccessful applicants and encourages resubmissions.

Deadline: Sunday, 2 November 2025

Exhibitions will be installed on a monthly basis, beginning in February 2026 and continue through July 2026.

Location: Kingston Arts Council — Unit 115, 370 King St W, Kingston

Intersection is an ongoing photographic exploration that highlights the beauty and complexity of human experience through intimate portraits and environmental storytelling by photographer Shanique Peart.

This is a love letter to the people I've met, the places I've moved through, and the stories that have lingered.

This body of work exists not just as documentation, but as a living archive and celebration of connection.

Each image is an invitation to pause, witness, and reflect on the ways our lives intersect. Navigating the overlapping pathways of culture, gender, landscape, movement and identity.

Closing Reception

Join Shanique Peart as she discusses her art, process, and reflects with audiences during a screening of a short video. Light Refreshments will be provided. Free and open to all!
