Coming Soon: Dipping Lace into Honey by Peggy Fussell

Date: 23 March - 15 May 2026
Location: Kingston Arts Council | Unit 115, 370 King St W, Kingston

Dipping Lace into Honey is an installation of handmade lace and animation.

Using a crocheted doily made by her great-grandmother as a pattern, Peggy Fussell creates new doilies and lace trims, then dips these pieces into honey and beeswax to create stop-motion animations.

These animations are then projected on, through and around the lace.

"My grandmothers taught me a variety of needlework techniques. While making lace for my animations, I am reminded of the warm, honey, stickiness of the lessons they passed down to me. The doilies in this exhibition inspire new conversations that recall familiar stories.” - Peggy Fussell

EVENTS

Kingston Pop Choir x Steph Drouin

Don’t worry about preparing in advance. We’ll guide you through the process step by step.

Lyric sheets will be provided!

PWYC options available – No one turned away for lack of funds!

BeeWitched
Date: 27 March 2026 | 7:00 PM

One fateful day, four drag artists find themselves in an alternative universe… the Medieval Times?! They have no clue how they ended up here, but one thing is for certain, they’ll need to depend on the audience to escape! This story has three possible endings. Choose wisely and they may survive to tell the tale. Choose poorly, and they may perish.

Prepare yourselves for an entirely different show than what you’re used to including improv, a song roulette, dramatic acting, comedic stupidity and MORE!

Featuring a party of unlikely allies:

  • BeeWitched as The Jester

  • Rowena as The Knight

  • Yuni Verse as The Goblin

  • BlowPony as The Fairy

  • ProbleMatthew as The Narrator!

There are always plenty of arts events happening in Kingston and the surrounding area. Check out our Arts Events Calendar to view our full list of upcoming events!
