Creating More Inclusive Practices –
Upcoming Workshop

Enhancing Workplace Accessibility through Disability Disclosure, Accommodation, and Inclusive Practices
Led by Leah Riddell
Date: 27 February, 2025 | 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM

How do we create workplaces where everyone feels supported and included? The KAC invites you to a free professional development workshop Leah Riddell from SignAble Vi5ion for an insightful, practical, and empowering workshop that explores workplace accessibility in the arts sector.

In this extended in-person session, Leah Riddell will provide a comprehensive introduction to creating an inclusive work environment, with a focus on disability disclosure, effective accommodations, accessible technology, and insights into the Deaf community’s unique experiences in workplace and artist settings. This session will be particularly beneficial for your front-of-house team as they work to better support Deaf artists, and for the broader team as you consider ways to welcome Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing individuals into your staff in the future.
